During my summer vacations in 10th grade, I got an opportunity to be part of a boot camp on Industry Engagement organized by Vita Nova Educators. It was a 5 days program where I had met Industry leaders from Finance, Manufacturing, Sales, HR, Ministry and Media along with field visits. This program offered insights beyond textbooks. It was insightful to interact with the industry experts from diverse business functions who helped me understand how diverse life paths can be. Their stories taught me about resilience, problem-solving, and balancing ethical choices with practical decisions.
One of the most fascinating experiences was visiting the DRiV TENNECO’s Kitting Plant in Palwal, where I learned how tiny automotive components come together to build something reliable. Seeing the high level of precision and coordination required from the employees working the plant, it was eye-opening. Comparing this structured environment to a local Kisan Mandi which was the another visit we had highlighted the striking difference in how traditional markets operates versus organized industrial setups and how business scales affect strategy and management.
Guest talks from CFOs and industry leaders further enriched my understanding about the key pillar of business. I also discovered how financial strategy is vital for steering a company, and why the CFO plays such a pivotal role. It was equally rewarding to reflect on these sessions with my peers by discussing ideas and sharing laughs, making it a learning experience that was both professional and personal.
